Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Tech Transfer signed an exclusive license agreement with Costa Mesa, CA-based Synthetic Blood International (SBI) granting the company rights to discoveries related to non-pulmonary oxygenation, enhanced oxygen transport to tissue, and gas-based wound and tissue therapeutics. The VCU innovations are expected to enhance and expand the use of Oxycyte, SBI’s under-development perfluorocarbon therapeutic oxygen carrier and blood substitute. Go to: Centre Daily Times
