Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking an experienced professional to evaluate the commercial potential of a variety of medical inventions and discoveries from Mayo’s clinical and research initiatives. As a member of the Mayo Clinic Health Solutions (MCHS)/Office of Intellectual Property team, you’ll be involved in developing and implementing technology sales and marketing plans, and managing the patent process; identifying potential commercial partners, and negotiating licensing agreements and other commercialization arrangements; and advising Mayo physicians and scientists regarding protection of intellectual property and technology-based business issues.
Candidates must have an advanced degree (or equivalent experience) in business, healthcare administration, biological science or law; excellent communication and negotiation skills; and demonstrated success in technical sales and assessments of medical technologies for commercial potential. Knowledge of business, science and laws or regulations pertaining to invention patenting and licensing is preferable.
