University of Illinois Seeks ‘Innovation Enthusiasts’ to Join Commercialization Team

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is widely recognized for its innovative model of technology commercialization. Three Technology Manager positions are open on our commercialization team at the Office of Technology Management at all levels of technology transfer experience. Responsibilities include: identifying, evaluating, marketing and licensing technologies from a range of research disciplines. If you are fanatical about commercialization and seeing technologies taken to market then we want you. We have a strong system of resources to support your commercialization efforts.

Qualifications for the positions in addition to a burning desire to make a difference include: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred; experience in technology transfer and license negotiations preferred; scientific background preferred; excellent oral and written communication skills; judgment to handle complex inter-organizational issues; ability to work in a high-activity environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of intellectual property law is also desirable. Salary commensurate with experience; start as soon as possible after the closing date.
