Dr. Norins, a native of Baltimore, received his A.B. from Johns Hopkins University, M.D. from Duke University Medical School and his Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne (Australia) where he studied immunology with the Nobel Laureate, Sir MacFarlane Burnet. He then directed a major research laboratory at the federal Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta for seven years before entering the publishing phase of his career. He is a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America, has published 20 scientific papers and has served on committees of the National Institutes of Health and the World Health Organization.
Dr. Norins, and his wife Rainey, to whom he has been married for twelve years, are publishing as well as life partners. Rainey is Executive Vice President.

David Schwartz has a 23-year career in scientific and other publishing. He started out as a writer and editor with American Health Consultants, a medical publishing firm based in Atlanta. He rapidly ascended to senior positions, last serving as Vice President. He then founded National Health Information, LLC in 1994. By the time he sold that company in 2006, he had originated 13 subscription-based newsletters, one directory, three loose-leaf services, and 40 executive reports for professionals in the biotech, managed care, and healthcare industries. Over his entire career, he has launched more than 100 periodicals. Mr. Schwartz is currently serving his second term on the Board of Directors of the Specialized Information Publishers Association.
